Our Door Officially Opens to Many
Tan Teik Fung began selling Chendul by a roadside stall along Lebuh Keng Kwee Penang. It was a simple Chendul stall with extraordinary passion and vision.
During those days, preparation has been time consuming and not easy however, Mr. Tan still managed to perfect its flavor making its quality and freshness enjoyed by many.
Preparing for the Chendul's Future Success
He continued giving his best to raise the standard of Chendul's quality even his children started participated in strengthening the brand by simple assistance which more likely training them as he knew that in the future, they will take the lead of continuing the Chendul dream.
We Are Officially Known As Penang Road Famous TeoChew Chendul
Chendul gets more loved and popular as it grew. By 1984, the brand was officially known as Penang Road Famous TeoChew Chendul. While it is being loved, famous celebrities began visiting the stall.
Followed by official support from Penang Tourism Ministry. It was also the period of its outlet expansion.
Our Famous Penang Trio, Which Loved by Many
Penang Road Famous TeoChew Chedul is not just growing but also improving. Though our focus is making the best and freshest chendul, we still innovated some Penang favorites that were also loved by our customers. Thats when our Asam Laksa and Rojak got famous too.
And now, it's commonly known as the Penang Trio.
